De Bruyne: “It’s been a very difficult two months for me”

Date:

Kevin de Bruyne, who had to withdraw injured at half-time in the Champions League final against Inter Milan, said he had had a “very difficult” two months with hamstring problems.

The Belgian midfielder retired after 36 minutes with a muscle problem, as he did in the 2021 final against Chelsea when he was substituted after a clash with Antonio Rudiger.

“It’s been a very tough two months, with a lot of hamstring problems. It’s a shame because I felt good for half an hour, but the important thing is that the team is good enough and we won,” De Bruyne told BT Sports.

“It’s incredible, we’ve worked for this for many years. This is history for this club. We deserve it, we haven’t lost in this Champions League. It’s not the best game, but that’s how it is. finals and Now it’s time to enjoy. The treble is huge, because you have to play a lot of games and have a very high level”, added the Belgian.
