Bernardo Silva left his future at City

Date:

Bernardo Silva has won it all at Manchester City after closing a historic treble on Saturday in the Champions League conquest of Istanbul against Inter (1-0). At 28 years old, the Portuguese medium has been linked in recent weeks with interest from PSG for joining him and shortly after proclaiming himself European champion he left his future up in the air.

Asked about this by the French TF1 program Téléfoot, Bernardo Silva responded: “I honestly don’t know. I’ll see what happens in the next weeks, in the next months.” His contract with City, who signed him from Monaco in 2017 for 50 million euros, expires June 30, 2025.

Bernardo Silva sounded a year ago as a possible strengthening of FC Barcelona, one of the most wanted players, but now the Catalan club is not considering signing him due to his financial problems.

A few weeks ago, Bernardo Silva assured, in an interview with the Portuguese newspaper Record, that “in June we will talk again to see what is best. I am focused on the City project and my contract will end in 31 years. I haven’t hidden that my goal in the next few years is probably to continue with a new project.”
