He Atletico Madrid continues to take steps in creating the future Sports City around the Metropolitan and which will be inaugurated in 2025.
This time, the club has partnered with two investment funds (Stoneweg and Teras Capital) to create a official Beach and a wave park which can be a tourist destination for surfers.
Although the economic value of this artificial beach, which will be the largest in all of Europe, has not been disclosed, the club will invest more than 200 million in the creation of Sports City around the Metropolitano and other facilities where this artificial beach is located and is expected to be completed and inaugurated in 2025.
Stoneweg founding partner and head of acquisitions in Europe, Joaquin Castellviexplained the project carried out with Atlético de Madrid: “This represents a great opportunity for Stoneweg to meet new emerging needs. Through this collaboration with Atlético de Madrid, we will create an impressive wave park in Madrid, which will be a symbol of sustainability and advanced technology, offering a unique experience for lovers of surfing and the beach lifestyle around the world,” he concluded.
