Not everything is happy for him Wrexham AFC. The Welsh club, who last summer were promoted to League Two (fourth division) and this year it could even rise to League One, it has made its financial accounts public. And they are not flattering. The club owned by Hollywood actors Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney owes more than 11 million euros.
But in addition to this number of losses, which is a record in the history of the club according to the ‘Daily Mail’, it also owes a lot to Reynolds and McElhenney himself: 10 million euros. On their website, Wrexham have made it clear that they are under no pressure to pay their American owners in the near future.
Along with the increase in expenses and debts, so is the turnover of the club, which, however, still does not cover its own expenses. According to the ‘Daily Mai’l, Wrexham are now looking for capital to invest in the stadium and their training facilities.
