The team red bull ktm has stated that Dani Pedrosa will play the second test of MotoGP World Cup of this year. The rider from Castellar del Vallès will participate in San Marino Grand Prix from September 8 to 10.
Pedrosa returned to the World Cup this year to participate in Spanish Grand Prix, where he finished in seventh position. Now the current KTM test rider will be back on the bike at Misano.
At the beginning of the year it was leaked that KTM suggested Pedrosa join the Misano test. However, this situation is pending both the approval of the Spanish pilot and that possibility Dani may receive the ‘wild card’ required to participate in the race, as there cannot be more than two invited pilots per test.
Finally, Pedrosa accepted the offer and received the go-ahead to ride KTM in this race. Dani, who announced his retirement after the 2018 season, competed in the Styrian Grand Prix in 2021, where he finished tenth, in addition to this year’s Jerez race. Therefore, Misano’s will be the third test he has played since his farewell to the first line.
