The danger is particularly high with regard to Islamist extremism and right-wing extremism. How the Office for the Protection of the Constitution and the headquarters of the Vienna State Police are dealing with the dangerous situation and what specific threats currently exist will be presented today.
It was only about a month ago, when the 2022 Constitution Protection Report was presented, that extremism was on the rise in Austria for the last time. The dangers therefore mainly come from three movements: from right-wing extremism, from anti-state connections and from Islamist extremism, as it was called at the time.
