Rodri Hernández, midfielder for Manchester City and the Spanish soccer team, has hailed his “unforgettable year” after winning the Premier League, FA Cup and Champions League with his team – where he scored the title-deciding goal -; and with its national team the League of Nations.
“It’s been an incredible year,” he said at the WiZink Center, where he and other players from the Spanish team had come to celebrate the last trophies he lifted, in this case after beating Croatia in the final, in a clash (0-0) that was resolved in a penalty shootout.
Hernández also emphasized the rest of his teammates: “We have an incredible group, especially the youngsters with great enthusiasm.”
“Today is the first stone for a wonderful path ahead of us, it allows us to dream for the next tournaments. This team will give us more joy, keep trusting in it,” said he.
