Sergio Garciain a telematic press conference, explained this Friday, as an opening to his participation next week in LIV of Valderrama (Cádiz)that “all the players play every day at the same time, we face the game with the same weather and we face the same wind conditions”.
The LIV tournament will have a new stop of its season from next Friday to next Sunday at the Real Club Valderrama field, in the Sotogrande urbanization of the Cadiz town of San Roque, the setting where the player from Castellón won the three tournaments. Estrella Damm Andalucía Masters again, in 2011, 2017 and 2018.
García acknowledged that Valderrama is his “favorite” course, where he hopes to “continue to perform at a good level” as, he stressed, he has done “every time” he has played here.
Playing in Spain “in front of your people and your public” is “very special” and a feeling that he is “loved”, highlighted Sergio, who belongs to the Fireballs GC team in the Super League, which also includes the Cantabrian Eugenio Lopez Chacarra and the Mexicans Abraham Ancer and Carlos Ortiz.
The man from Castellón said that he is emotionally “good” and expects that “things will be fine”, so he “wants” to do “the best possible”.
Regarding the new things that LIV Golf has incorporated since it appeared last season, he is also in favor of playing music, because “it is something that helps, you see that the players are calmer”, adding that one among the “best things” about playing background music during a tournament is that “you hear less noise” from outside.
Valderrama is the venue for the eighth LIV Golf event of 2023 for 48 players and twelve teams in the league.
