Balsa Sekulic, striker for Montenegrin Buducnost Podgorica, has inaugurated the scoreboard of the Champions League 2023-2024 with a penalty score the first goal of the first semifinal of the preliminary round.
Sekulic, who returned to a club in his country after spending last year in South Korean Guangwon, unbalanced the match in the 14th minute against Andorran Atlètic Escaldes by converting a maximum penalty.
Miomir Durickovic extended the account in minute 21 for Buducnost and Sekulic himself established the last 0-3 in match time.
The 25-year-old Montenegrin player takes the baton as the first scorer of Danilo Rinaldi, player of La Fiorita (San Marino), who debuted the account last season.
Breidablik thrashed
Buducnost Podgorica will face Icelandic Breidablik on Friday in the final of this preliminary round, host of this phase which will take place in Kopavogur, and beat Tre Penne from San Marino (1-7) in the second semifinal.
