Oriol Sagrera and Saula, General Secretary of the Department of Business and Labor of the Generalitat de Catalunyawas appointed CEO of Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya to a Board of Directors extraordinary event held this afternoon and with the support of all partners, public and private. Sagrera is a director of Circuit of Barcelona-Catalunya for two years and led the transformation of the facility in the field of digitization and sustainability.
The appointment of this new figure to Board of directors responding to the desire to accelerate the transformation of Circuit following the fundamentals of Strategic plan, presented in October. The plan aims to do the Circuit of Barcelona-Catalunya more sustainable environment and economy, with a clear commitment to digitization and diversification of activities, and for it to become a key infrastructure for the automotive industry, innovation and talent recruitment.
Oriol Sagrera i Saula (Barcelona, 1986) is a lawyer, worked in several law firms and was a collaborating professor at the Universitat Oberta de Catalunya. He is currently secretary general of the Department of Business and Labor of the Generalitat de Catalunya, second vice-president of the Free Zone Consortium, member of the General Council of Fira de Barcelona and patron of the Fundació Barcelona Capital Nàutica AC-24.
