The Dutch team Soudal-QuickStep, Fabio Jakobsenwon the second stage of the Tour of Denmark this Wednesday ahead of the Norwegian Soren Waerenskjoldwhich maintains leadership in the classification.
Already second the day before, Jakobsen, 26, prevailed in the sprint to add his sixth victory of the season.
This second stage, which is 163 km between Kjellerup and Silkeborg, is marked by a fall of ten kilometers from the finish line that particularly involves the Danish Michael Valgren (EF), double winner of the Tour of Denmark.
In the overall ranking, Soren Waerenskjold, The Norwegian time trial champion, keeps the blue jersey and will try to keep it after Thursday’s third stage between Vejen and Vejle (209km). Contested over five stages, the Tour of Denmark concludes on Saturday in Helsingor.
