Three goals and an assist reflected a new exhibition of Cristiano Ronaldo, the architect of Al Nassr’s first victory in the Saudi Pro League against Al Fateh (0-5) which coincided with the debut of Aymeric Laporteannounced on Thursday as a new reinforcement and already a starter.
After the victory in the Arab Champions League, Al Nassr took off in the league competition, where they are yet to score. In their first two games, Luis Castro’s team fell to Al Taawon and Al Ettifaq.
He added his first two points against Al Fateh, where Spaniard Cristian Tello was playing, in a match that was lopsided for Cristiano. The Portuguese star assisted Sadio Mané after half an hour with a heel shot that the African finished off.
Ronaldo opened his personal account in the 38′ when he headed in a cross from Sultan Al Ghannam and at the beginning of the second half, in the 55′, he scored in an empty goal after a pass from Abdulrahman Gharreb , who received a long ball on a counter attack.
Mané extended the win in the final period, also from Gharreb’s pass and Cristiano Ronaldo rounded it off in added time. The Portuguese, who have not scored since the start of the championship, got an assist from Nawaf Mashari Abdulrahman Boushal.
Al Nassr opened his locker
Al Nassr added their first points although they are still six behind the leaders, Al-Ittihad and Karim Benzema’s Al Ahli.
A late goal from Fahad Al Muwallad led to an equalizer for Al Shabab and prevented the first victory for Damac, which was preceded by a goal from George N’Koudou.
Brazilian Mateus gave victory to Al Taawon, where Spaniard Álvaro Medrán plays, in the clash against Abha. Al Feiha, along with Víctor Ruiz, did not go beyond a goalless draw against Al Hazem.
