Enric More (Movistar) considered acceptable the measures taken by the organization of the Tour of Spain to promote the acquisition of official times 2 km from the finish line because, he said, they serve to safeguard the safety of cyclists.

“Maybe we are used to not looking at the safety of cyclists, but we are human, some parents, and sometimes there are things that can be avoided. I think it is good that the organization has taken steps to protect us,” said Enric Mas in the finish line.
“The weather is something that cannot be controlled. On a normal day in this place the stage is a show, but the end is dangerous with gravel on the road,” he added.
Mas, ninth overall, close to all the favorites for the final victory, commented on the critical initial moment of the stage when a fan left the three leaders of Jumbo and Evenepoel ahead.
“We caught a car at first with the fans, but then we solved it. 12 riders were going nowhere with almost 200 km ahead. The leaders were fighting with a whole peloton,” he explained.
Before the first rest day, Mas said he arrived “tired”, but “for now” he has a “positive reading of the Vuelta”.
