6:29 pm when the Federation warned showing team captains to read a statement in which they showed their rejection of Rubiales’ attitude. A statement read by Moratathe first captain, accompanied by Marco Asensio, Rodrigo and Azpilicuetathe other Red captains.
They took the initiative to give a statement on behalf of all those summoned by De la Fuente. After lunch, the captains summoned the rest of their colleagues to discuss the need to issue a statement about everything that was happening in the ‘Rubiales case’.
De la Fuente and Albert Luque, the team’s sports director, did not intervene in the matter, giving the players total freedom to do and write what they wanted. After several conversations, they all agreed to issue a carefully studied statement in order, first, to clarify what they wanted to say and, second, so that none of the phrases or words of the writing the misinterpreted.
And so the final agreement was reached to write and appear in public to read the statement from the group of men. Something that, on the other hand, some have been asking for for a long time.
