The Association of Spanish Soccer Players (AFE) considering that the proposal of Women’s League (F League) It did not reach the expectations of the players who announced on Wednesday that the competition was paralyzed and it will not start this weekend as planned.
“The new proposal for League F was consulted with the players and still not living up to their due. His proposal is 20,000 this year without retroactivity with the possibility of reaching 23,000 if there are benefits of television rights,” said the AFE, underlining the demands of the union.
“The unions proposed 23,000 euros, with the possibility of reaching 25,000 if there were benefits of television rights, but the employers rejected it and in the end there was no agreement,” added the soccer players’ union.
Previously, the F League announced in a statement that “irresponsibility and lack of will and height of the view of the unions leads clubs and players to a strike” and to avoid it “will not give in to the pressure or accept proposals that mean the collapse of the economy of the competition, and, therefore, the failure of professional women’s football”.
According to the F League, the new meeting within the framework of negotiations of General agreement “This clearly revealed the complete unwillingness of the unions to reach an agreement that would allow the strike to be unblocked.”
The F League pointed out in a note that on Tuesday, “in its firm belief to propose a scenario of peace and stability that will help promote the project, it made massive efforts to improve not only the minimum wage, but also offers many measures in terms of maternity, reconciliation of personal, family and work life, and other benefits for soccer players related to their training and professional development”.
