American Sahith Theegala took the lead on Saturday in the third day of the Fortinet Championship, the tournament that opens the new season of the North American circuit in Napa (California.
Theegala, seeking his first PGA Tour trophy, made a string of four birdies over the final seven holes of the Silverado Resort course.
At five under par and 67 strokes, he is two ahead of South Korean Seonghyeon Kim, who shared first place with him the day before, as well as American Justin Thomas, double PGA champion, and Australian Cameron Davis.
Thomas took the lead with a superb result of seven under par (65), thanks to five birdies and an eagle. Davis also posted a 7-under score with four consecutive birdies.
