The Czech Barbora Krejcikova, winner of the San Diego tournament (USA), returned this week to tenth place in the WTA rankingswhich he has not covered since the beginning of the year, in a list that continues to be dominated by the Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka.
Krejcikovawho was ranked world number one in October 2018, finished with his new title having not won a match since the first round of Wimbledon.
Another winner of the week, American Ashlyn Krueger, who won his first professional tournament on Sunday in Osaka, appears to be in the best position of his life, in 73rd placefifty more than the previous list.
Among the top ten, in addition to entering the Krejcikovathe only difference was the exchange of positions between American Jessica Pegula, now fourth, and Kazakh Elena Rybakina, fifth.
The Spanish Sara Sorribes and Paula Badosa maintained their positions 51 and 52; Rebeka Masarova rose one, to 64, and Cristina Bucsa lost eight and fell to 87.
