Bucsa inflicted a crushing defeat on Mladenovic in Guadalajara

Cristina Bucsa, world number 79, produced her most convincing performance on Sunday at the start of the WTA Masters 1,000 in the Mexican city of Guadalajara by sweeping France’s Kristina Mladenovic 6-0 in the doubles.

Against a player ranked number one in the world in 2019, Bucsa maintained superiority on his serve and with several breaks in each set, he disarmed Mladenovic, who suffered one of his worst defeats on the circuit.

In the top 32 phase, Bucsa will face the winner between the Egyptian Mayar Sherif, the fourteenth favorite, and the Italian Camila Giorgi.
