Pepe Lemos, former Celta and Valladolid player, has died

He Celta Vigo This Thursday he expressed his deep regret for the death of Pepe Lemosformer celestial footballer between 1979 and 1986. Born in Salvaterra 61 years ago, Lemos was part of the historic squad that achieved two consecutive promotions under the direction of Mirolad Pavic, to go from Second Division B to First.

After Celta’s relegation to the Second Division, in the summer of 1986 he signed for Real Valladolid, where he remained until his retirement in 1992. With the Valladolid team he played in the final of Copa del Rey in 1989.

“We deeply regret the death of Pepe Lemos, Celta player between 1979 and 1986, a great loss for the celestial family. We send our most sincere condolences and affection to his family and friends,” Celta said in its statement.
