This Tuesday, the UEFA Executive Committee appointed Albanian Armand Duka as vice president, replacing Spaniard Luis Rubiales, who resigned on September 10 as president of the Spanish Football Federation (RFEF).

The appointment of Duka, who heads the Albanian Federation and has been a member of the Executive since 2019, was made at the meeting held by this body today in Limassol, after Luis Rubiales resigned after being filed and provisionally suspended by FIFA for 90 days on August 26, over her behavior at the Women’s World Cup final and at the medal ceremony where she kissed the international. The Spanish leader, who has led the RFEF since May 2018 and has been UEFA vice president since May 2019, is being investigated by the National Court for sexually assaulting a Spanish player and forcing him to publicly justify the action this, which took place after the World Cup final in which Spain won the title against England on August 20.
