Rubén Baraja, coach of Valencia, said after the 1-1 draw at the Son Moix stadium against Valencia that “anyone can win” and considered that the draw after goals from Dani Rodríguez and Diego López was ” fair.”
“The game became very complicated after 1-0 and we tried to hold on to have a chance. We equalized before half-time and in the second half we tried to find the winning goal, like them. Anyone can win and the tie is fair ,” he said.
The Valladolid coach insisted his team “worked hard” to get a point against Mallorca.
“The players made an effort and we did a lot of things well. The break (of the League) will help us recover the people as well as the injured,” he said.
Regarding the possible penalty for grabbing Hugo Duro on the spot, Baraja said that from his position he saw “something happened.”
“That action, at least, is reviewable, but the referee didn’t consider it that way. These are decisions that are made and I don’t want to go to evaluating much more,” remarked the Valencia coach.
