Roger Federer was the great star this Friday at the Shanghai Masters 1000. The legendary former Swiss player was honored for the tournament, which he won twice, in 2014 and 2017.
That last time his opponent in the final was Rafa Nadal, who he wants to remember for that special moment. “I played well in that match in the 2017 final. It was an amazing year when I came back after my knee problems. This is the last time I won here in Shanghai. I was happy to win that final because I love my matches with Rafa. I played against him on many occasions. Almost, not in every field, but in almost every big game in the world. I’m glad we can do it here. Not just once, but three times,” he commented after watching a video with some of his best moments from the Chinese tournament.
The champion of 20 Grand Slam titles is very smiling and relaxed all the timegiving balls to fans and joking with the tournament mascot.
