Following the decision announced on Friday by PSOE That the Provincial Council of Zaragoza (DPZ) will not participate in the construction of the new stadium The Romareda and following the statements of the spokespersons of this political party, the Royal Zaragoza issued a comprehensive statement in which it spares no harsh words against those who oppose the project due to partisan interests, in which it clearly explains what the role of sad here and there it appeals to the common good.
In the said statement and among others, the Royal Zaragoza reaffirming its “apolitical” nature and describing it as “unfortunately always in the middle of disputes between political parties that do nothing but harm the progress of the club’s activity, and with it, its growth. ” He also said that “sowing doubts about the club’s financial solvency to deal with stadium investment is pointless and harmful” and called criticism of the lack of financing for stadium construction “cynical.”
Afterwards, the club reiterated its commitment to achieving the goals set and its intention to formalize an agreement with Zaragoza City Council and the Government of Aragon and “begs the political representatives who are trying to boycott the construction of the stadium, to once and for all think of society, its citizens and the fans of our club, and forget the partisan interests that if sometimes seems to prevail.”
