David Puig, Jeunghun Wang and Denwit Boriboonsub is qualified for 152nd British Open which will take place at Royal Troon. He achieved this through the IRS Prima Malaysia Open, the third event of the Open Qualifying Series and played at The Mines Resort & Golf Club.
Puig won the Asian Tour event with a total of 261, 23 under par, after two consecutive 62s in the third and final round. Wang He carded a final round of 61 to take second place in the classification at 21 under par, while Boriboonsub He got the last qualifying spot thanks to his higher position in the world ranking compared to John Catlin, who he shared in third place with -20.
The next event in the Open Qualifying Series is Arnold Palmer Invitational presented by Mastercard, taking place in Bay Hill March 7-10.
