The Premier League broke Christmas tradition

The Premier League confirmed this Thursday that the match between Wolverhampton Wanderers and the Chelsea It will be held on December 24, breaking a tradition that has lasted since 1995.

However, this time the premier was ignored and, even though it was Sunday and the trip would be more complicated, he decided to schedule the Wolves-Chelsea for that day in response to television requests.

The calendar announced Thursday also includes traditional programming ‘Boxing Day’ (December 26), where five matches will be played: Newcastle United-Nottingham Forest, Bournemouth-Fulham, Sheffield United-Luton Town, Burnley-Liverpool and Manchester United-Aston Villa.

During the festivities, there will be football from December 22 to Tuesday, January 2, except for December 25 and 29.
