Three years later, the Portmán Yacht Club is celebrating the return of the Carburo de Plata regatta for its twelfth edition. This event has not been held since 2019, which has managed to establish itself as one of the most recognized tests in the region while gaining national prestige. And the reasons for its absence these years are obvious: The coronavirus delayed what was the meteoric rise of a test that had gained a lot of strength in a short time.
Between today and tomorrow, more than 70 boats, more than half of them coming from Andalusia and the Valencian Community, will cross the coast of Cartagena. It will be at noon when the boats start competing today. The take-off will be installed in the dock of the port of Cartagena, the epicenter of the regatta.
And as always, Carburo de Plata will have a charitable background: NUPA (Spanish Association for Helping Children, Adults and Families Affected by Bowel Failure, Multivisceral Transplantation and Parenteral Nutrition) will be the entity supported in this edition.
