3-2: Andratx sends Tarazona into extra time

High voltage match in Sa Plana. Andratx qualified for the next round of the Copa del Rey by losing, in extra time, to a superior rival, SD Tarazona. The match ended in a 2-2 draw but in extra time, a goal from Garry gave the Mallorcan team the win.

It all started with an early goal from Javi Castedo, which was neutralized before the break by a tough and strong Tarazona in all its actions.

After the break, the coaches moved their respective benches and although Andratx was the team that took the initiative, the visitor Guiu had 1-2 on his feet but his shot, when he was alone against Vicenç, went wide (minute 69).

Unforgiving was Fer Cano – who had just come on to replace the injured Bueno – who a few minutes later, with a shot into the top corner, rounded off the score (1-2).

The last stretch was exciting. From a possible 1-3 (a double chance by Cubillas and Guille that was neutralized by local goalkeeper Vicenç), it went to a 2-all tie in stoppage time. A game by Castedo was finished in the net by Alberto Fernández in injury time (2-2).

And the extension passes the sentence. A goal from Garry (who replaced Ordinas) lifted ‘Sa Plana’ (3-2) and Tarazona suffered the blow. The Aragonese team is eliminated, and the Mallorcan team is alive in the Cup.
