The Swiss tennis player Belinda Benciccurrent Olympic champion, was announced to him pregnancy just four days to debut in Seville in the finals of Billie Jean King Cup (BJKC)where the Swiss team will defend the title.
Bencic, 26 years old and in 2020 world number 4, is expecting a child with former Slovakian soccer player Martin Hromkovic, who after his retirement became the tennis player’s physical trainer. Both announced the pregnancy on their social networks, with a photo in which they appeared to be holding white booties.
In the finals in Seville, the Swiss will play in what is considered the toughest group, along with the United States and the Czech Republic. Only the winning team will advance to the BJKC semifinals
Bencic, currently 14th in the WTA rankings, is the undisputed number one in her country, having also called Viktorija Golubic (83), Celine Naef (136) and Jill Teichmann (142) for Seville.
