Stefanos Tsitsipas finishing his preparations for ATP Finals 2023 which starts this Sunday in Turin. Champion of the tournament in 2019, the Greek player arrived on Italian soil with the hope of regaining his best level and competing for a second title.
Tsitsipas seems fully focused on that goal and is full of praise for what this tournament entails. “It’s a celebration of tennisBeing one of the best in the world means a lot. It’s a great prize for any player,” he said.
So Tsitsipas dared to place this tournament as the most important in the tennis calendar. “The ATP Finals is something bigger than a Grand Slam. They have great prestige and being a champion is important for the record,” said the Greek. Tsitsipas has one under his belt, but not in any of the four majors.
