The ‘people’, with an absolute majority in the House of Lords, have accelerated processing times with the aim of completing the reform before the final passage of the amnesty law in Congress.
The plenary meeting of Senate will discuss today, Wednesday, the consideration of the proposal to reform the regulations proposed by the PP delay of the amnesty lawwhich speeds up its processing so that it is approved as quickly as possible.
This was announced yesterday by the First Vice President of the Senate, Javier Maroto. The groups had until this afternoon to present their proposals for the text. It will be the last item on the agenda of next Wednesday’s plenary meeting when the taking into account of this reform of the Regulations, which is processed in the ‘express’ manner with the goal of having it ready before the final passage of the amnesty bill in Congress.
He PP has an absolute majority in the Senate, so proceedings continue. After that, the Rules Committee will have to meet, open a period for changes and then submit it to the plenary for final approval.
Before the plenary session, the Senate, which also has a conservative majority, convened in an extraordinary manner in response to several requests from the PSOE, ERC, EH Bildu, Junts, PNV and Sumar to reconsider the reform. The groups claim, among other things, that the deadlines set in the Senate regulations have been exceeded. Predictably, these proposals will be rejected at the board meeting.
Of the PSOEhis Senate spokesperson, Eva Granados, also announced that her group will present the case Supreme Court if this reform is finally adopted.
