The Paralympic flame with the colors of Spainhe symbol of the international paralympic movement and the Name of Institution These are the three elements of the new logo of the Spanish Paralympic Committee (CPE), whose corporate image was renewed nine months before the Paris Games.
The change in the entity’s logo is driven by the International Paralympic Committee’s objective to “provide uniformity in the emblems of all national Paralympic committees of nearly two hundred countries in the world”.
As a significant and representative element of Spain, CPE has chosen to give continuity to the corporate image displayed around with the motto ‘paralympics’, using the fire of the unofficial logo that the entity also has and in which it places all communication, promotion and representation of elite sport for people with disabilities in Spain.
In the case of the new logo of the institution, it was used the fire with the same shape, but with the colors of the Spanish flag.
Underneath this fire came the other two elements that make up the new logo. On the other hand, the name of the institution itself, written all in capital letters, and below the symbol of international paralympic movement, consisting of three strokes called ‘shaking‘ (from the Latin agito, to set in motion), red, blue and green, which are most used in flags around the world.
The three ‘agitos’ surround a central point, symbolizing movement from all corners of the world and reflecting the Paralympic motto: ‘spirit in motion’.
