Mallorca will be the center of international women’s and men’s cycling

Mallorca will be epicenter of international cycling between January 20 and 28, 2024 in celebration of the Garden Hotels-Luxcom Challenge Ciclista Mallorca for women and the Garden Hotels-Luxcom Challenge Ciclista Mallorca for men. This was announced today by Manuel Hernández, director of Unisport Consulting, the company organizing the event, to the media in an event held at the Nivia Born Boutique Hotel and which was attended by the Minister of Tourism, Culture and Esports, Jaume Bauzà; the executive councilor of Tourism of the Consell de Mallorca, José Marcial Rodríguez, and the CEO of Garden Hotels, Gabriel Llobera. During the event, the extension of Garden Hotels-Luxcom’s sponsorship agreement with the Challenge organization until 2027 was also announced.

The big news in 2024 is the celebration of the first female Garden Hotels-Luxcom Cycling Challenge Mallorca, which will allow you to enjoy the best runners on the roads of the island. In three days, some of the best teams in the international women’s squad will start the season in Mallorca with competition for three trophies: Felanitx-Colonia de Sant Jordi Trophy (Saturday, January 20); Palma Trophy (Sunday, January 21) and Binissalem-Andratx Trophy (Monday, January 22).

And after the women, the men, with the XXXIII Garden Hotels-Luxcom Challenge Cyclist Mallorca, where the main peloton teams and some of the best cyclists in the world will restart the European cycling season, as is customary. It starts on Wednesday the 24th, with competition for five trophies: Calvià Trophy (Wednesday, January 24); Ses Salines-Felanitx Trophy (Thursday, January 25); Serra de Tramuntana-Selva-Lluc Trophy (Friday, January 26); Pollença-Port d’Andratx Trophy (Saturday, January 27) and Palma Trophy (Sunday, January 28).

Live television

As was the case last year, fans will be able to follow the progress of the stages live, both in the Women’s and men’s Challenge, with a live television broadcast, thanks to the agreement with the institutions and its commitment to the Challenge Ciclista Mallorca as a strategic event in the promotion of the island’s tourism. In this way, Eurosport and Teledeporte will offer fans around the world a live signal of the last hour and a half of each of the eight events, the three that make up the Women’s Challenge, and the five that make up the Men’s program Challenge, by doing Medialuso.

The promotional and sporting impact of the Garden Hotels-Luxcom Challenge Ciclista Mallorca will be high the wide spread of platforms that will broadcast the outcome of the eight Trophies livewhich will benefit from the promotion of tourism promoted by the Balearic institutions, the impact of the event itself and the visibility of the sponsors and collaborators of the event, as well as the city councils that host the races.

The airing time of each day’s finals is from 3:00 pm to 4:30 pm every day, except for two Palm Trophies, which will be held on Sunday the 21st and Sunday the 28th, when the time will be from 12:45 pm to 2:15 pm in both cases.
