The final driver of the 2024 F1 World Championship has been confirmed

The 2023 season is over, the F1 World Cup Its grid has been completed for the next championship in 2024, which will be featured 24 Grand Prixthe first in Bahrain (February 29-March 2) and the last in Abu Dhabi (December 6-8).

The last unconfirmed flyer is one of the team Williams and, as expected, the British team made official the continuation of the Logan Sargent as a Thai teammate Alexander Albon.

The 22-year-old American driver made his debut this year at ‘Great Circus’ of motorsports and achieved a point, in GP of the United States. Williams finished 7th in the constructors’ standings with 28 points (Albon added 27), ahead of Alpha Tauri (25), Alfa Romeo (16) and haas (12).

Williams was the best team in the caboose, as sixth place was Alpine-Renault by a long distance, with a total of 120 points. The British team will try to take another step forward in 2024, but for now its glory years are far from over, largely summed up by its 16 world titles, seven of them by drivers known as Alan Jones (1980), Keke Rosberg (1982), Nelson Piquet (1987), Nigel Mansell (1992), Alain Prost (1993), Damon Hill (1996) and Jacques Villeneuve (1997).

It has been an incredible journey with the team so far and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue to develop as a driver within a talented and dedicated group. We have exciting plans for the future and I can’t wait to contribute to the team’s success next year,” Sargeant said in a British team statement.

“I am delighted to continue our journey with Logan for the 2024 season. Logan has shown immense skill under the pressure of the world stage, making him a perfect fit for our team. We have great confidence in his ability and believe that together we can achieve greater success next season,” said the team boss, James Wowles.

With Sargeant’s confirmation, the 2024 F1 grid will be the same as at the start of the 2023 World Cup except for one steering wheel: the Dutchman will not be there Nyck De Vriesreplaced mid-season by the Australian Daniel Ricciardowho will continue alongside the Japanese Yuki Tsunoda like a couple AlphaTauri-Red Bull. F1 will once again have two Spanish drivers, Fernando Alonso (Aston Martin) and Carlos Sainz (Ferrari).
