The Titan Desert Morocco 2024 will offer a real challenge for mountain bike adventurers, including 6 stages marked by mountains, big slopes and desert settings which introduces the “Dakar” specialty.
On the tour presented at Madridwith the presence of the former professional on the road Luis Leon Sanchezrevealed the secrets of the adventure that awaits between May 28 and April 3, 2024. There will be no shortage of stretches of dunes, narrow canyons and rocky surfaces that will test the strength of the 600 participants in this eighteenth edition.
Titan starts again in the mountain range of Atlas. The first two stages will be filled with mountains, with slopes exceeding 2,300 meters and 1,700 respectively, with narrow canyons and difficulties from start to finish, almost always lasting temperatures that will reach 40 degrees.
After the mountain comes the pure desert, with 2 long days to ride, for the deployment of forces. The fifth stage will have sands and navigation sections, where experience counts a lot. The sixth and final chapter will crown the winner and the other titans who complete the challenge.
Manuel Tajada, Titan’s sports director, explained that he always tries to design “a trip that presents a unique environment to live a special experience. This year the difficulty is 4 points out of 5.”
“There will be 6 stages with more than 6,000 meters of total gradient. The marathon stage will be the third, with a route of 130 km, which will be completed the next day entering the pure desert, ending next to the dunes of Erg Chebbi.
