Xiaomi has revealed its debut in the electric vehicle market with the launch of the Xiaomi SU7 at an event in China.
This car represents the company’s first significant step into the electric vehicle sector, backed by a significant investment of more than $1.4 billion.
The announcement took place at an event presided over by Lei Jun, CEO and co-founder of Xiaomiwhich detailed the distinctive features of SU7.
This model marks the beginning of a line of cars with positioning ambitions Xiaomi among the world’s leading car manufacturers in the next 15 years.
In terms of design, the SU7 presents an aesthetic that incorporates elements of tesla and Porsche.
Its dimensions are 4.99 meters long, 1.96 meters wide and 1.4 meters high, with a wheelbase of 3000 millimeters.
The initial weight of the entry model is 1980 kilograms, while the “Max“, which is more powerful and sporty, reaches 2205 kilograms.
The rear trunk has a capacity of 517 liters, complemented by 105 liters of capacity in the front.
