Inter Milan, leaders of Serie A, announced this Saturday the renewal of three players. First is Federico Dimarco, later Matteo Darmian and finally Henrykh Mkhitaryan who extended their contracts.
Dimarco, 26 years old, He is committed to Inter for another season, until June 30, 2027, after being one of the main pieces of Simone Inzaghi. A perennial Italian left-back and also a centre-back, he trained at Inter and made his first-team debut in 2014 but, after loan spells at Ascoli and Empoli, his first spell at Milan ended in 2017 when he -leave on the Swiss side Sion.

Inter regained him a year later to loan him out again to Parma and Verona until he returned to their squad in 2021 to be undisputed, which one of the architects of the ‘nerazzurri’ that reached the finals of the Champions League last season League they lost to Manchester City (1-0).

Darmian will continue to enjoy tax benefits for selected football players included in the ‘growth decree’, which has been in force since 2019 and which the Italian government has decided not to extend from Monday January 1st.
Darmian has benefited from the ‘growth decree’ since his return to Italy from Manchester United in 2019 and a year later Parma loaned him to Inter, who signed him in 2021. He will earn 3.2 million euros net every season, with clear gross savings for the Milanese club.
The imminent end of the ‘growth decree’ also caused Inter to accelerate the renewal for two more seasons of Mkhitaryan, whose contract expires next June and will remain at San Siro until 2026. The Armenian midfielder, another of Inzaghi’s regulars at 34, arrives in 2022 from Roma and will continue to benefit from the tax benefits for elite foreign footballers.
Also, Inter will continue to have preferential taxation and the midfielder’s 3.9 million euro net salary will cost 5 million gross. The agreement states that the Milanese club can terminate it in 2025 after receiving the payment.
