The famous clothing brand Superdry want to be served justice City of Manchester as a result of the logo on one of his t-shirts, according to ‘The Telegraph’. They believe the ‘Super Dry Asahi 0.0%’ training kit sponsorship is misleading and that is why they have filed a ‘restraining order’ against the Premier League champions.
Superdry has brought a High Court claim against the citizen club, alleging the Premier League club infringed its trademark on its training kit. The club has announced a new partnership with Japanese beer brand Asahi ahead of the 2023-24 season which will see the non-alcoholic ‘Super ‘Dry’ 0.0′ product printed on their training kit. Introduced in 1987, the alcoholic version of the drink is now Asahi’s flagship product.
UK-based clothing company Superdry, founded in 2001, filed for a “restraining order” that would prevent Manchester City from wearing the branded kit instead.
