The Spanish women’s team under 17 achieved a 2-0 victory over Germany in Marbella, with goals from Alba Cerrato and Iris Santiago, in a preparatory match for the second stage of the European Championship to be played from March 14 to 20 in the Netherlands.
From the first moment Spain dominated, leading before the end of the first half hour of play. Alba Cerrato opened the local scoreboard and after the restart Iris Santiago extended the lead with a second goal for Espanyol, who kept a clean sheet in the match played at the Marbella Football Center in the Andalusian city.
Spain’s starting team consists of Laia López de la Morena, Daniela García, Amaya García Gómez, Adriana Folgado Blanco, Ainoa Gómez Luna, Paula Comendador Prado, Laia Abdon Naval, Lua Arufe Calo, Emma Moreno Torres, Alba Cerrato Izquierdo and Ainara Agirrezabala Azkue.
