Olot got the victory against a good Vilafranca who fought beyond words but came back empty-handed.
The match started with great intensity and there were chances for both. The local goalkeeper, Mourín, had to successfully intervene to stop the goal from two shots by Cuadras and another by Genís. On the local side, Perone and Marc Mas have it. Half an hour later, Vilafranca opened the scoring. Cañas, along with Olmo, is unforgiving. But with almost no time to celebrate, Olot equalized with a header from Marc Mas to a Blázquez cross.
In the second half, those from La Garrotxa let loose. Perone made it 2-1 after a corner taken by Barnils which was first cleared by the defense on the same line, but collected by the defender to score with his right foot. Three minutes later it was 3-1 when Mas took advantage of a defensive indecision. Vilafranca did not collapse, as they scored on a shot from Frutos from outside the area after collecting a rebound. From there to the end, the visitors looked for an equaliser, but the scoreboard did not move.
