The Giro ends in the twenty -first and final stage in the individual time trial format that will take place in the city of Verona, with a symmetrical route of 17.4 km where the final photo of the podium will remain forever, possibly with Jai Hindley in the pink jersey, followed by Ecuadorian Richard Carapaz and Spanish Mikel Landa.
The time trial will take place at the Delle Torricelle circuit, site of the World Championships, on the counterclockwise course. First part through straight and very wide lanes, then a climb from 4 km to 5 and then another flat area towards the finish line.
After the intermediate time point at the top of the climb, the descent will be rapid. The last 3 km of city streets show some challenging curves. The peloton arrived at Piazza Bra before entering the Verona Arena.
The start of the time trial is scheduled at 1:55 pm and the arrival of the last runner at 5:15 pm
After his hand in Marmolada, Australian Hindley will defend the pink jersey with 1.25 minutes to Carapaz and 1.51 to Mikel Landa.
