This is how the Premier League standings remain after Arteta’s Arsenal triumph

Date:

The Premier League is still hot and no team is taking off the accelerator, as Arsenal showed at the start of its 22nd round.

Mikel Arteta’s team, who denied this week that his future was linked to Barça, beat Nottingham Forest at the bottom (1-2) after the match became complicated in the final minutes and now has 46 points, have temporarily placed themselves in second position at the expense of what their rivals are doing.

The current leaders are Liverpool (48 points), who play against Chelsea this Wednesday, while they could be tied with Manchester City and Aston Villa if they win their respective games against Brentford and Newcastle.
