Two -hour lock – Caravans touched cars: traffic jams at Gleinalm tunnel

In the middle of the Pentecostal Golf, Saturday morning caused an extra chaos for extra chaos on the A9 near the Gleinalmunnel in Styria. The tunnel had to be closed for a good two hours in the direction of the south of the south.

Around 6 o’clock in the morning a 47-year-old German burger traveled with his caravan on the Pyhrnautobahn. Shortly after the exit of the Gleinalmunnel, the team caught up with different trucks on the second lane. During the re-admission, the car fell behind it, which was directed by a 24-year-old also German citizen.

According to the police, the caravan trailer broke out, the team came to a halt by road. The driver of the caravan and his passenger as well as the four occupants of the car remained unharmed, the damaged vehicles had to be towed.

During the clean -up work, the Gleinalm tunnel was completely closed for the south and travel was sent through brown. The tunnel could only be released around 8.15 am. The repair of the damaged rail took a little longer, while only one lane was passable.
