Cádiz announced on Thursday the signing of Malian midfielder Diadié Samassékou, who arrived on loan until the end of the season from German side Hoffenheim.
Samassékou, 28, is an international for his country and trained at the JMG Bamako academy, where he made the jump to European football to sign for Austrian side Liefering, the Cádiz club reported in a statement.
The midfielder also played for Salzburg in the same country before signing for Hoffenheim in 2019, who loaned him out last season to Greek side Olympiacos.
This is Cádiz’s third signing on the last day of the winter market, after the announcement of Swedish-Syrian central defender Aiham Ousou, on loan from Slavia Prague; and Malaga striker Juan Miguel Jiménez ‘Juanmi’, who arrived on loan from Betis.
