The first Alicante-Elche marathon will have one of the routes “fastest in Spain and even in Europe” with a positive slope for runners, as announced by the test director, Jose Manuel Albentosa.
The sporting event, the first between the two towns, will be held at February 2025 and starts in Elche and ends in the Port of Alicante, with a total of 42,195 kilometers.
This Thursday the first meeting took place in Elche town hall between the Sports Councilor in the Alicante City Council, Tony Gallegohis counterpart in Elche, Jose Navarro and the director of the marathon to define organizational, technical or promotional aspects, according to municipal sources.
