Calleja has held the position ever since October 2022 and from the beginning the goal was set to return to the highest category of Spanish football. A promotion he didn’t end up getting, though play the play off.
Together with Javi Calleja they left the club the second coach, Quique Álvarez, the goalkeeping coach, Jesús Unanua, the physical coach, José Romero, and the analyst, Luismi Loro.
The club informs in the statement that Felipe MinambresLevante sports director, will take over as coach, without specifying whether he does it occasionally until the hiring of a new coach or definitively until the end of the season. Miñambres will face the media this Friday, along with the spokesperson of the Council, Maribel Vilaplana, according to the Granota entity.
