The Nigerian midfielder Ugh20 years old, will play at Getafe next season after reaching an agreement with AD Ceuta, Primera RFEF team where the player has a contract until 2025, sources from the Ceuta club informed EFE. Christantus Ugonna Uche, a 1.90 meter ambidextrous player, will leave an undisclosed financial value in exchange for a letter of independence, which the Ceuta entity has to distribute to the Extremaduran team of Moralo, his former club.

The footballer and his agent met this Tuesday for a few hours in Madrid with those responsible for Getafe, the sports director of AD Ceuta, Edu Villegas, and his deputy, Víctor González, to close the conditions of transfer. In principle, Uche will commit to the Madrid team coached by José Bordalás for two seasons.

The player, a native of Owerri (Nigeria) where he was born on May 19, 2003, is an under-23 international for his country and arrived in Spain with Moralo in November 2022. In Moralo’s ranks he played 17 games, he saw 6 yellow cards and played in the play-off for promotion to the Second RFEF, which Azuaga eliminated by an aggregate score in both games of 3–2.

AD Ceuta signed Uche on July 15 of last year, initially played in the subsidiary AD Ceuta B rank in the Tercera RFEF, but Ceuta coach José Juan Romero decided that he would be part of the first team in the First RFEF where he played as a starter in 22 of 24 games this season. Uche only missed one game due to a direct red card penalty and another due to a technical decision.
