Two Tour de France legends. Two cyclists who broke records in the French round. Miguel Indurain is the only one in history to win the Tour five consecutive times (1991-1995). For his part, Sylvain Chavanel holds the record for participants in the Grande Boucle, with a total of 18 (2001-2018). Indurain and Chavanel will animate with their presence the Alpinum TotalEnergies, which has taken over the Alp Cerdanya Cycle Tour, and is certainly running in both of their countries (Spain and France).
Next June 15 they will be part of a platoon that will enter the heart of the Pyrenees to overcome four passes (Col du Calvaire, Col de la Llose, Col de la Creu and Collada de Tosses). Indurain and Chavanel, who continue to enjoy their favorite sport in excellent form, will advise and guide the cyclists, who will have the possibility to choose between three distances (185 kilometers and 3,635 meters of elevation gain including the four mentioned passes; 145 km and 2,673 m; and 89 km and 1,267 m), depending on your level and training.
Leaving and arriving in the municipality of Alp (Girona), it stands out as a cycle tour with the most spectacular panoramic views of the Cerdanya valley, both Catalan and French. And it also passes through part of the Gallic region of Capcir.
Alpinum TotalEnergies, which has existed since 2016 under the name Alp Cerdanya Cycle Tour, needs a new force to improve the participant experience. So, it will be part of the IV Edition of the TotalEnergies Challenge Cycle Tourism Circuit ([challenge.totalenergies.es]challenge.totalenergies.es), which also includes four more prestigious tests: La Indurain (July 20), La Perico (August 11), Gran Fondo Alberto Contador (September 21) and Gran Fondo Pico de las Nieves (1 from December) .
