Garteh Bale confirmed what was an open secret and will not continue at Real Madrid. The Welsh footballer’s contract expired on June 30, but he couldn’t wait any longer and announced he will be leaving the white club after nine seasons and a handful of titles, including five Champions League.
“I came 9 years ago to fulfill my dream of playing for Real Madrid. I look back and can honestly say that I accomplished it, and much more,” the FGales Express said in a suicide note. “I will never forget what we accomplished.”
The footballer acknowledges that “being part of the history of this club and achieving everything we achieved together at Real Madrid has been an incredible experience that I will never forget”. Finally, he says goodbye to the fans and the club with an emotional “it was an honour. Thank you! GO MADRID!”
