Metropolitan kicks off ‘Senate Day’

This Wednesday, the Metropolitan Cívitas hosting the first edition of ‘Senate Day‘, a day dedicated to members who have been members of the red and white team for more than 50 years without interruption. An action the club wants to do to reward their loyalty and love.

A day that started early with activities such as free visits Athletic territory or tour the stadium, ending the day with lunch at The Grand Stage. Later, in the auditorium of Metropolitan Cívitasthe president of Atlético, Enrique Cerezo; and the board of directors of the Senate -led by its president, Joaquín Santisteban-, delivered ‘I Athletic Sentiment Award‘to the journalist and well-known red and white fan Vicente Valles.

All this in an event that also includes the presence of club legends such as Roberto Solozabal – president of the association Legends of Atlético de Madrid-, Roberto Fresnedoso, Adelardo Rodríguez, Manuel Sánchez Delgado, Luiz Pereira and Ramon ‘Cacho’ Heredia.

“For me it is a great honor to talk to the senators and lead the first edition of the ‘Day of the Senate’. Currently, there are more than a thousand senators who have been with Atleti for more than half a century, making it loyal. Membership is a true form of understanding life. Therefore, we believe that this point between you is necessary to advance the activity of this important group, the Senate,” he stated. Enrique Cerezo in his speech.

In all that history that you go back to, you have been a major part of it.
