More than 200 police officers will ensure security before, during and after the match that will be held this Thursday at Villarreal and the Olympique de Marseilleback from the round of 16 of European Leagueas announced this Tuesday by the Government delegate to the Valencian Community, Pilar Bernabé.
The Government delegate expressed his confidence that the sporting event will take place “normally” and confirmed the presence of members of Police Intervention Unit (UIP) and of Prevention and Reaction Unit (UPR) in a “specific and special” operation for a party declared high risk.
“The operation was prepared with the Police from the Police Intervention Unit, who are highly qualified and experienced. It was a match that was declared high risk and therefore we are working along those lines,” added Bernabé.
